Swing In Autumn with Martina & David : An evening of fun-fused jazz - October 4th
|
The concert takes place in Spinderihallerne at 7 - 8 PM. Admission is free of charge but you need to register.
Join us for a nice live concert in Spinderihallerne and get cosy to the sound of fun fused jazz with Martina Griffiths (vocal) and David Sinchury (guitar).
“This duo takes popular songs, swings them and makes them their own."
About the artists:
Martina Griffiths: is a seasoned Canadian, now Vejle based, Jazz/Contemporary Vocalist, Song Writer & Vocal Instructor. She is “A natural storyteller, a vocally dynamic performer with an awesome range.”
David Sinchury: is a guitarist, music producer & singer-songwriter from India. He has performed & recorded music with some of the most eminent artists of the Bollywood music industry.

Quiz Night at the Cat & Barrel Pub - October 6th
|
Quiz Master Martha is back with her brilliant pub quiz with questions about beer, music, sports and general knowledge.
Come alone or in teams of a maximum of six people. Questions are asked primarily in English but can be repeated in Danish if necessary.
In addition to the honor of winning and bragging rights, there will be a Mystery prize goodiebag for the winning team.

Book Club for kids - October 6th
|
Does your child love to read? And wants to share her/his reading experiences with other children?
Then here is the book club for them – for children aged 9-12.
The club meets every first Thursday of the month at 16.00-17.30 (4-5.30pm) at Børkop Library.

International Community Triangle Region has the pleasure of inviting you as an international living in the Triangle Region and your family to this year’s Autumn Reception in Kolding.

We meet at 10:30 at the entrance to Koldinghus. The address is Koldinghus 1, Kolding. From 12.45 we will be in Legeparken, Grønningen 4, Kolding.
The event is free of charge, however, there is a no-show fee of DKK 100,- per person.

Vocal Inventions : An Improv Choir - October 11th
|
“A joyous collaboration and celebration of human voices and spontaneous composition.”
An Improv Choir is an excellent way to have fun, sing, relax, feel connected, release happy endorphins, build community; even among people who speak different languages. Simply sing what is sung to you. It’s that easy.
Vocal Inventions Choir is for singers and non singers. All levels of singers are welcomed; complete beginners to the very experienced.
The choir is led by Martina Griffiths who has been studying, teaching and performing Vocal Improv for over 20 years. She has a Music Diploma with a major in Jazz Vocals and is a professional contemporary vocalist.

Autumn Vacation Activities - week 42
|
Week 42 is vacation time in Denmark - all schoolchildren have the week off.
Besides the vaction pass above, it is also possible to find other activites, e.g. City Vejle is celebrating that tradtionally this week was a time of for children to help their parents havest potatoes, by inviting children to make potato chips.

Annual Press Photo - Opening October 27th
|
Official Opening of photo exhibition in Spinderihallerne and talk w/ Sigrid Nygaard, winner of this year’s Press Photo of the Year.
18.30 (6:30pm) official opening of the exhibition Press Photo of the Year and a glass of bobbles.
19.00 (7:00pm) talk w. Sigrid Nygaard (in Danish), winner of the categories Press Photo of the Year and Scenes from Everyday Life. The winning photo is part of a larger series of photos and articles from the Danish newspaper Information. Over a period of two years, Sigrid followed Martin and Nicolaj in their fight for becoming the parents of little Storm from Colombia.
The exhibition Press Photo of the Year will be on show in Spinderihallerne from October 25 – November 25 on weekdays during our opening hours. Weekend November 5-6 also open – keep an eye out for Facebook.

We serve the food from 5.30 pm to 7 pm - beer, wine and soft drinks are sold separately. The café closes at 21.00.
You can book your ticket via this websitw below - the price is 85 kr. for adults and 55 kr. for children (up to 12 years) per portion, incl. a cup of coffee and something sweet.
