Dear all,     
 
DECEMBER IS HERE! - and with lots of snow (not that common in Denmark, belive it or not). 
 
I hope you all find events below you would like to join - also if you do not celebrate Christmas, remember many of them are also networking oppotunities! 
 
For those of you that do, I wish you all a merry Christmas and a appy New Year!

CHRISMAS PARTY AT SPINDERIHALLERNE

Look forward to the most enchanting event of the year, where the Christmas spirit and laughter go hand in hand!

Spinderihallerne and Newcomer Service's christmas celebration is the place where small and big hearts meet to celebrate the magic of Christmas in a different and festive way.

The event offers everything from creative workshops that awaken the inner artist to magical Christmas atmosphere that will make even the Grinch smile. 

We promise entertainment that will make sure children and adults have fun together.

Bring the family, friends, coworker, and your inner elf to the Christmas Party where we together create memories and smiles that will last the whole Christmas season and well into the new year!

Mark your calendar Sunday December 10th - the party begins at 14.00/2pm and lasts for an enchanting 3 hours. 🎉🎄🎁 It is up to you if you would like to join for all three hours or drop in/out when it suits you! 

 

EVERYONE is welcome - also if Christmas is not your thing, maybe you'll meet a new friend!

Are you ready for a magical Christmas adventure?

Take your family on a real Christmas adventure from December 1st in Dyrehaven in Vejle.
 
Here you can use the free Natureventyr app and walk around the forest from chapter to chapter.

All you have to do is:
- Download the Natureventyr app
- Put on good footwear
- Head towards Dyrehaven (the Deer Park)

The app then guides you through the route, which consists of a rescue mission. Because Rudolph has disappeared in a terrible snowstorm and he was last seen in the Deer Park in Vejle!
 
(Remember to show consideration for the animals along the way.)
 

In addition to the Christmas adventure, there are six other nature adventures available in Vejle Municipality; Hastrup Lake and Plantation, Gødding Forest, Rørbæk Lake, Vingsted Iron Age Environment, Holtser Hage and Vindelev.

Winter Crea - December 2nd and 9th

Drop by when the Vejle Labraries host Winter Crea at four of the Libraries.

Their creative children's facilitators have found a lot of inspiration for children of all ages and they have made sure that there is cardboard, felt, old books, Posca markers and a lot of other things for you to have fun with.

For children approx. 4-12 years and their adults.

Just drop by and join - no registration is required.
 
December 2nd in Give and Jelling.
December 9th in Børkop and Egtved.

Nordic Christmas Dinner - December 5th
Communal dining with the theme Nordic Christmas.
We'll have Christmas fun, good food and bring together Christmas from all over the Nordic region.
We start at 18.00 (6pm), where our community manager welcomes and tells about the evening's activities in the house.
The evening's menu will then be presented. We eat together at the long tables and spend a few pleasant hours in each other's company.

Free tour of Spinderihallerne - December 5th

Are you curious about what Spinderhallerne really is?
Are you interested in hearing about the history of the place from when it was a cotton mill to now being a creative, community-oriented and innovative cultural center?
Join us on a guided tour at 17.00-18.00 (5-6pm) and learn and get inspired on how you can use the building!

Hanegal Thursdays BoloBattle - December 7th

We're ending our Hanegal Thursdays with a big communal dinner.
The last vegan surplus bolognese from Hanegal's factory will be prepared by two local chefs from Vejle, who will battle it out to see who can make the best side dish and season the bolognese the best.
Everyone who comes to the communal meal votes on which bolo and chef wins the big BoloBattle!

Guided tour in our art-tech exhibition w/ artist-in-residence Sarah Trahan - December 7th

 
Learn and see what our artist-in-residence Sarah Trahan has been up to the last 1,5 year, where – amongst other things - she’s been collaborating with educators about how to work with art and tech in new creative ways. You will also see some of Sarah’s personal art projects like a series of vessels modeled over the sound of earthworms!

Free Rejsekort (travel card) for newcomers

In 2023, Vejle Municipality, together with Sydtrafik, offers a free travel card to new residents.
 
If you just moved to Vejle, you can get a Rejsekort (travel card), and travel for free with public transportation for two months. This gives you plenty of opportunity to see your new municipality and the experiences and attractions it offers.
 
NOTE that you have to activate the card within two months after you moved to Vejle.
