Fastelavn - February 10th

Fastelavn is a carnival tradition in the Northern European nations, incl. Denmark. Traditional events include slå katten af tønden ("hit the cat out of the barrel"), which is somewhat similar to using a piñata. Another common theme of Fastelavn is that children dress up in costumes, walk from door to door while they sing and gather treats for the Fastelavn feast, a form of trick-or-treating. (Read more about Fastelavn via the below link).

🎊 City Vejle invites you to Fastelavn with an international twist 🎊

🎉 There will be barrel hitting at Nørretorv.
👑 Selection of the Cat King of the year, where you can win a City Vejle gift card.
🎈 FREE balloons for the first 250 children.
💃 Come and experience authentic Brazilian samba rhythms and dancers.
🎁 Fastelavnsboller will be handed out along with goodie bags with juice and treats.

BODY IMPOSSIBLE BODY INCREDIBLE - opens February 10th

The human body is amazing and incredible. Sometimes even a little impossible. Most people strive to live up to the prevailing ideals of beauty and body image, but few people realize that these ideals date back to ancient Greece.

BODY IMPOSSIBLE BODY INCREDIBLE is not a historical exhibition about Greek antiquity. It is an exploration of the universal human condition of living in one's body, for better or worse. The ancient sculptures are challenged and staged in a sensuous and playful scenography that invites you to explore both the physical spaces and your own body and soul.

Throughout the exhibition, all signs are also in English!
