Dear all,     
 
March is here - and with it both Spring time events and Danish Easter.
 
This means that for the public Easter holidays schools, work places and most shops are closed. Also the bigger supermarkets. Some of the smaller supermarkets will be open, but with holiday opening hours - check your local shops. 
 
The public holidays are March 28th, 29th, 31st and April 1st. 
  
Remember you can also find events at vejle.dk/detsker and welcometovejle/leisuretime.

Sketchbook workshop - March 7th

 
Unleash your creativity in your sketchbook!
 
Do you want to immerse yourself in creative play in the company of others?

Then come to a workshop with Rikke Sølyst Jensen from @hverdagskunstner on March 7 from 19.00-21.00 (7-9pm) in Spinderihallerne, where we will work on our personal sketchbook.
 
The workshop is free but you have to sign up.

Community theme night with Repair Café

March 12th, at 17-19 (5-7pm)
As Easter is approaching, Spinderihallerne host this community theme night with the community Repair Café. You can embroider Easter eggs on plywood and acrylic sheets (made from leftovers from Fablab) for free, and meet the "Repair Café team". 
 
To join, show up at the long tables in front of the FabLab, where there will be 25 embroidery plates available and you just need to bring yarn, scissors and needles (best with non-pointed needles) and be ready to have fun.
 
No registration is required, just drop by - but first come, first served as there are limited seats.

Spinderihallerne's photo community is having a fresh start!

March 12th - at 18.00-20.00 (6-8pm)

 
Spinderihallerne's photo community is starting over!

Do you feel like exploring the universe of photography?
Whether you're experienced, completely new to photography, or perhaps an artist curious about how you can incorporate photography and developing techniques into your art, you're welcome in our photo community!
 
First time is Tuesday March 12th - find the photo community close to FabLab.

Job and Education Fair - March 13th
 
On this day you can meet various Vejle companies at Spinderhallerne from 10.00-13.00 (10am-1pm) for the Job and Education Fair - just show up. 
 
March 14th

VEJLE AMBASSADOR NETWORK

Want to be an ambassador? Are you already one?

Next event is March 14th, where we will focus on volunteering as a huge part of Danish culture. 
Including volunteering in the Ambassador Network in the coming sessions!

Free to participate, but you have to sign up (limited seating, so do not wait too long).

Aim of the network: 

  • Create networks and friendships
  • Help make Vejle an attractive place for internationals
  • Engage the ambassadors in activities for internationals

Join us when three world-class double bassists join forces and create a universe where a combination of free improvisation and tight compositional grips form the framework for a musical experience at Vejle Art Museum.

Yoga with JK - March 21st

 
Find your inner peace and warm up in the open, spacious areas inside Spinderihallerne! Our Hatha and Yin Yoga sessions, tailored for beginners and intermediate practitioners, are held in the inviting open environment of Spinderihallerne.
 
4 yoga sessions are planned throughout the year, all of which are free to attend. Our event coordinator student Julie Kathrine (JK) will guide you through all 4 sessions.
 
In addition to working at Spinderhallerne, she is also a certified Hatha and Yin yoga teacher, so these will of course both be used in the sessions.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt

From Monday to Friday in the Easter week, children aged 4-12 can go on a treasure hunt and see if they can find all the hidden Easter eggs.
