How To Thrive in Danish Winter

We know that Danish winters are long. As Internationals, we need a little bit of help because we are far away from our families and not many of us know how to beat the winter blues as skillfully as experienced locals do.

That’s why we invite internationals like yourself to join us at this event to build connections, get tips and tricks to be prepared for winter, and learn about winter offerings from local services.

We welcome you to a fun evening of chatting and interactive learning with fellow internationals, local coaches, and Danes...and of course...yummy food.

The event will be held in English and is FREE to join, but you have to sign up.

Vandel Invisible Doors Festival - October 6th

Bus 143 drives right to the door from Vejle station.

NOTE: the event is held indoors - so no need to wait for the weather forecast :)

What does “Home” mean to you? How do you know where your “Home” really is? Why do some people leave home while others stay? How can we create one when we’re far from…home?

Join us for a day of music, art, and family fun that explores and celebrates HOME at the first annual art and music festival hosted by Vandel Efterskole and Vandel Musik- og Kulturforening, and organized by a group of local and international artists, musicians, and writers.

With musicians and artists from the area’s Danish and international communities, as well as activities, workshops, and exhibitions for kids and adults, we’ll celebrate the vibrant tapestry that makes our region unique.

Celebrating Home and Community through Music and Art!

The First Kings - new exhibition from October 10th

The Danish royal line started before Gorm the Old and Harald Bluetooth. This autumn, the Cultural Museum in Vejle tells the story of the first Danish kings who fought for power in Denmark in the 7-8th century.

The story is told with illustrations by the famous cartoonist Thierry Capezzone and is based on the latest research results from the royal hall at Erritsø.

The exhibition brings fascinating archaeological artefacts from Germany, Sweden and Denmark into play in completely new ways.
