Chrochet colorful flowers

Can you crochet? Then we need you!

Help us crochet one (or more!) Landsstævne flowers and become part of a special piece of art for the DGI Landsstævne 2025 in Vejle.

  • Stop by one of the libraries - Farveriet, Børkop, Egtved, Give, Jelling or Nørremarken - and grab some yarn to take home (2 balls per flower)
  • Download the free pattern (link below) - you can also get it at the library when you pick up yarn.
  • Crochet away - feel free to add your own leftover yarn in dark blue, turquoise, yellow or pink
  • Return your flower to the place you picked up the yarn by June 23.

All flowers will be part of a colorful work created by Vejle's own Dina Lea - the artist behind the European Championship bucket hat. Knit from the pattern or use your imagination - all flowers are welcome.

Don't know how to crochet? Check out the workshop below.

Make DGI Landsstævne flowers with Dina Lea // workshop - June 10th

At this evening workshop Dina Lea will talk about the colorful flower project and help you get started in this fun workshop, where we will crochet DGI Landsstævne flowers for a large community artwork that will be hung along the promenade in the week leading up to the Landsstævne.

The flowers will be crocheted in recycled cotton yarn from Yarn&Colors, which will be handed out at the workshop.
It will be possible to borrow a crochet hook, but please bring your own crochet hook in the size that works best for you. The flowers can be crocheted in three different levels of difficulty, and you can join both experienced and beginners.
