From August 28th and six week on we offer accompanying partners a weekly session, where you will get tips to your job search in Denmark/Vejle and be introduced to the Danish job marked together with other job seekers.
 
Each time we will go over a subject that will be relevant for your future job situation - including inviting guest speakers to share their expertise.

Post Nord Danmark Rundt Bike Race - August 15th

 

It is almost impossible to mention PostNord Danmark Rundt without mentioning Vejle Municipality. For the 26th time, we welcome top national and international cyclists to our hilly roads and beautiful landscapes, before the winner of this year's queen stage is decided in Vejle, with Kiddesvej as the focal point.

The fourth stage of the race starts in Svendborg on Friday, August 15, and takes the riders on a 227-kilometer journey that takes them past Børkop and Munkebjerg, as well as several local hills in the form of Højen Skovvej, Sandagervej, and Jerlev-bakken, which must be ridden twice.
 
Finally, the field will hit the 10-kilometer-long and now legendary circuit in Vejle, where Kiddesvej must be conquered no less than four times before the winner of the queen stage can be honored.

August 19th the café at Spinderihallernes will be cooking over campfire, instead of the usual buffet but with the same great sustainable concept. The café will be cooking a lovely, healthy and sustainable dinner - come and eat and enjoy the food and campfire for only 59dkr.

August 21st we start up the Coffee / Kaffe sessions again. An informal coffee meeting with Newcomer Service & Spinderihallerne. Stop by just to meet others or maybe you are new in town or have a question you would like to run by us. YOU NAME IT!

Guided tours of Fjordenhus in English - Saturdays in August
 
On Saturdays you can join a guide from Vejle Art Museum on a tour of parts of Olafur Eliasson's enormous architectural artwork, Fjordenhus.
 
Discover the amazing works of art on the open ground floor, learn the fascinating story of the design and construction process, and take a trip underwater to see the exhibition in the basement. Here you can see a number of unique pieces of furniture that Eliasson created especially for Fjordenhus. The exhibition can only be experienced on guided tours.
 
NOTE: a guided tour cost 110dkr.

Book Sale - August 19th-21st

 

Stop by and grab some great books when we open the Labraries' doors once again for our big book sale—this time at the libraries in Farveriet, Børkop, Egtved, Give, and Jelling.

 
August 19 at 10am the book sale starts and continues until the 21st. We have been clearing out our shelves, which means that you now have another chance to buy lots of exciting books for both children and adults at bargain prices.

Vejle Fjord Festival - August 30th + 31st

 
Two fun days by the fjord for everyone!  
 
There are activities for all ages along Bølgen and Vejle Marina – all the way to Havneøen by Fjordenhus, and also fun activities with the maritime associations on the fjord itself.

The Fjord Festival is Vejle's annual event in the fjord city. Here, we take advantage of all the fjord has to offer, not least the new district that has blossomed up by the marina.
