November is here in a few days - and with it events to light up the dark season. 
 
NOTE; if you dream of being an entrepreneur you can join free sessions that start already tomorrow AND it is also time to mark the calendar ❌ on December 7th - for this year's annual Christmas party!

Daycare and Public School info meeting - November 4th

 

Are you curious to know more about the Danish daycare system? Or how about the public school system?

Maybe you have children in the daycare/public school system already or are planning to enroll them when old enough. Then this meeting is for you! 

In this online session you will get information about both from Vejle Municipality employees working in the field. 

NOTE It is possible to join for the entire session or choose to hear about daycare system for the first 45min. and public school system after.

Bollywood Night - November 6th

 
Join us for an unforgettable evening on November 6th at 19.00-20.30 (7.00-8.30pm) at Spinderihallerne, where Indian music and Bollywood dance come alive!
 
The night begins with a blend of Indian music, featuring Classical Songs, Urdu Ghazals, sitar-like guitar instrumentals, and Bollywood medleys—all led by renowned guitarist David Sinchury, fresh from the heart of Bollywood. His dynamic performance promises an incredible experience, blending classical Indian tunes with contemporary flair.

Then, Crisma will join him on stage teaching you some incredible Bollywood moves and leaving you craving more. Whether you’re passionate about music, dance, or just seeking an exhilarating night out, this cultural celebration is one you absolutely can’t miss!

NOTE that from 18.00 (6pm) it is possible to buy an indian inspired meal at the Spinderihallerne Café.

Vejle Reads - November 18th

 
Join the library for this second last session of shared reading, exploring outstanding Nordic literature in translation.
 
Together you will read and discuss short passages from works by, among others, Karl Ove Knausgaard and Inger Christensen.
 
No preparation is needed – just bring your curiosity and let the conversation flow as we pause to share thoughts, images, and ideas the texts inspire. 
 
Maybe also your chance to meet other readers and start a book club on your own!

Local and regional elelction - November 18th

 

Members of municipal councils and regional councils are elected at elections every four years. The next election will be held on Tuesday November 18th, 2025.  

Who can vote at the local and regional elections? Maybe you! 

In order to be eligible to vote at the local and regional elections, you must be 18 years of age on the election day and have a permanent residence in your local municipality/region.

People who are not an EU citizen or from Iceland, Norway or the United Kingdom are eligible to vote, provided they have been a resident for a minimum of four years in Denmark.

NOTE if you are eligible to vote you will automatically get the printed polling/electoral card in your mail.

On November 4th at 5-7pm you can meet the local municipality candidates that are up for election on November 18th. 
 
It is free of charge to participate and everyone is welcome! Just show up at Vejle Midtbyskole, Damhaven 13B.
 
In the Vejle city council there are 31 chairs - you can at this site find the people who are running in Vejle.

2025 Christmas Party in Spinderihallerne - December 7th

 

Spinderihallerne’s Christmas Party is a free holiday event that invites everyone to enjoy an afternoon full of festive spirit, togetherness, and community. 

This special day offers something for all ages. You can unleash your creativity in free fun workshops, share cozy moments with other visitors, and experience Spinderihallerne as a place where people meet, get inspired, and create memories together. 

Seasonal treats such as warm spiced gløgg and traditional Danish æbleskiver (round pancake balls) will fill the house with the scent of Christmas.

And of course, Santa Claus himself will stop by to spread some extra Christmas cheer.
