September is here in a few days - first official month of the fall. However that doesn't mean we cannot enjoy every possibility of 20+ degrees and the sun (feels like summer in Denmark 😉).
Also time for the national initiative Welcome September - September is the month with the highest number of intenationals moving to Denmark, therefore alle events are promoted nationally. Link to the national site below ⬇️.

Are you an international looking for a job?
Vejle Newcomer Service offers you a monthly session, where you will get tips to your job search in Denmark/Vejle and be introduced to the Danish job marked together with other job seekers.
Each time we will go over a subject that will be relevant for your future job situation - including inviting guest speakers to share their expertise.
This fall's program:
- August 27th: Introduction + cover letter and CV in Denmark (competence vs. chronological resume).
- September 23rd: LinkedIn in Denmark – the importance of an updated LinkedIn in your Danish job search. (Guest Speaker: Nienke D. Nijenhuis).
- October 21st: The interview in Denmark, what to think about and how to prepare for an interview.
- November 18th: How is your CV and cover letter seen with a recruiter’s eyes, what is important and “not so much” in a Danish context. (Guest speakers: Jens Thomsen from The LEGO Group and Sten Appelon Petersen from True North Resources).
- December 10th: Coming to Denmark – firsthand job search experience from a fellow international. (Guest speaker: Jinha Park).

IB education at Rødkilde Gymnasium from 2027
|

Interested in an international upper-secondary education in Vejle?
Starting in August 2027, Rødkilde Gymnasium in Vejle will offer a PreIB programme for students who are interested in pursuing the IB Diploma Programme but either come from a Danish educational background or have not yet completed 11 years of international schooling (for example, MYP, GCSEs, or equivalent). In August 2028, we will be introducing the IB Diploma Programme itself.
On September 8, 2026, Rødkilde Gymnasium will host a taster day for students, followed by an orientation meeting for parents who would like to learn more about our PreIB and IB programmes. You can read more about the Taster Day and Orientation Meeting here.
To sign up for the taster day and orientation meeting, please write to IB Coordinator Bodil Frandsen Schmidt at bfs@roedkilde-gym.dk. You are also very welcome to contact her with any questions you may have about PreIB or IB at Rødkilde Gymnasium.

🌱 Meet Neighbours for Nature at Klimadag in Vejle
|
|
|
On Saturday, 19 September, from 11:00–16:00/4pm, Økolariet will host Klimadag i Vejle 2026 – a day dedicated to climate action, inspiration and community.
This year’s theme is sharing, reuse and exchange, with activities including workshops, a swap market, music, food and the presentation of Vejle’s Climate Award. Among the local communities taking part this year is Neighbours for Nature (N4N) – Vejle’s growing international green community.
🌍 About Neighbours for Nature
They are a community of internationals in Vejle who want to do our part and create positive, green change where we live. N4N focuses on grassroots environmental action, citizen science and sustainable living, while bringing together people from different countries and backgrounds around a shared interest in nature and sustainability.Their activities include cleaning up local green spaces, participating in local environmental projects, exchanging ideas and knowledge, and finding practical ways to make Vejle a little greener together.
Come and meet Neighbours for Nature at Klimadag! 🌿 Whether you have lived in Vejle for many years or have just arrived, stop by, say hello and find out how you can get involved. You don’t need to be an environmental expert – just bring your curiosity and willingness to make a difference.

Vejle's secrets - September 22nd
|
|
|
Join this newcomers’ event and get access to places you don’t normally get to see.
We’ll meet at Kirketorvet and visit St. Nicolai Church. The secret part of the tour is going up the church tower, where we’ll see the church’s old architectural details and have the chance to enjoy the view of Vejle and the fjord.
Afterward, we’ll head to the Old City Hall for a guided tour led by First Deputy Mayor Dan Arnløv Jørgensen. The Old City Hall is only open on special occasions and when the city council holds meetings. Dan will show us around and share the history of the city hall.
We’ll wrap up with a group dinner.

Vejle Try Out offers free recreational activities for young people from August through November.
The program is open to all students in Vejle (ages 18 and up).
Whether you’ve just moved to Vejle, started college, or are simply curious about new experiences—you’re welcome to join, even if you have no prior experience.

Welcome trip for newcomers - October 4th

Did you move to Vejle Municipality within the last few years? If so, we would like to invite you on a free bus trip around Vejle and the surrounding area.
On the trip, we will show you some of the municipality's many attractions, provide lunch, and the mayor will be your guide.
We would like to give you an insight into what a fantastic area you have chosen to live in. That is why we organize two annual bus tours – typically in April and September – which you are free to choose between. Next time is Ocotber 4th.
